Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church is Birmingham’s second oldest Catholic church. Initially it served a primarily German-American congregation. After the church building on 6th Avenue South burned, the congregation moved to Oxmoor Road in Homewood. The former location was rebuilt as Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
