Society's Child was a music club located in downtown Birmingham that was popular during the late 1960s. The house band was a folk duo comprised of owner David Walbert and Jackie Dicie.

"Society's Child" was the name of a song written by Janis Ian in 1965 about an interracial romance. The song became a controversial nationwide hit in 1967.
