The Birmingham Stallions (2022) is a planned professional football team which will represent Birmingham as one of eight teams in the United States Football League (USFL), with a planned launch in 2022.

The USFL's name and trademarks were acquired from the defunct 1980s league which included the original Birmingham Stallions franchise owned by Marvin Warner. The new league is wholly owned by National Spring Football League Enterprises Co, LLC, headed by Brian Woods and partly owned by the Fox Sports Media Group. Fox and Fox Sports will serve as the league's lead broadcast outlets, with additional games aired on NBC and the USA Network.

The USFL is negotiating to play its entire inaugural 10-week season in Birmingham, with 40 regular season games and three playoff games held at Protective Stadium between April 15 and July 3, 2022. Under the agreement, the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex would not charge the league for use of Protective Stadium nor keep gate receipts, but would retain revenues from concessions and parking, as well as some advertising and premium seating sales. The league is negotiating a separate agreement with the Birmingham Park and Recreation Board for the use of Legion Field for practices and some games.
