@DailyMtnEagle or Fake Daily Mountain Eagle was a parody news account on Twitter. It was created anonymously in 2012 by Matt Mitchell as a mock version of Jasper's Daily Mountain Eagle newspaper. He posted fake headlines, mostly poking fun at the "redneck" culture of Walker County. The account's profile photo featured an ostrich instead of the newspaper's eagle mascot.

Mitchell suspended the account in early 2016 under pressure from the newspaper, which considered it a "pirated Twitter page". He subsequently revealed his identity to al.com and resumed posting to Twitter as @ALOstrich.
