Ack Radio Supply was located at 3101 4th Avenue South. They supplied parts and service to radio & TV broadcasters, commercial and residential customers and ham radio enthusiasts.
Everette C. Atkerson founded the business in 1946 at 223 22nd Street North in Birmingham. In the mid-1950's they moved to 3101 4th Avenue South and stayed in that location until they closed in December 2015. Atkerson's son, Tommy, opened up a second location in Atlanta in the 1960's and his son, Steve, continues to run the business in Atlanta.
