The Alabama State College of Barber Styling is an institution teaching hair cutting and styling located at 753 Main Street in Gardendale. The owner is Donald Mathews. The school is open to the public with styling done by students under professional supervision.

The school was founded in January 1975 by Mathews and William B. Smith at 125 Roebuck Plaza Drive in Roebuck. Mathews became the sole owner in July 1978. It later moved to 9480 Parkway East. In October 1990, it was accredited by the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools (NATTS), now known as the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The school moved to its current location in March 2010.
