Altec Industries (founded 1929 as the Alabama Truck Equipment Company) is a Birmingham-based manufacturer of aerial service trucks, cranes, digger derricks and wood chippers used by utility and construction companies in the United States and Canada. The company was founded by Lee Styslinger who began manufacturing steel truck bodies in a former furniture factory. Allen Ritchie succeeded Lee Styslinger III as president and CEO in 2021.
