Andrew A. Sorensen (born c. 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; died April 17, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio) was the President of the University of Alabama from 1996 until 2002.

Sorensen received degrees from Yale University, University of Illinois, and University of Michigan. He served as Vice President of Academic Affairs from 1990 until he was named president at Alabama. He went on to serve as president of University of South Carolina.

Sorensen is survived by his wife Donna and two children.
