Angene Coleman (born c. 1952 in Birmingham) is a drug abuse prevention counselor for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Centers, Inc.
Coleman graduated from Western-Olin High School in 1970 and earned her bachelor's degree in social work at Miles College. She was director of the Morton Simpson Community Center.
Coleman has served as vice-president of the Smithfield Estates neighborhood, as a member of the Greater Pratt City Improvement Cooperative, and on the board of the Village Creek Society. She has also volunteered at Birmingham City Schools and as a boy's basketball coach.
Coleman qualified as a candidate for Birmingham City Council District 9 in the 2013 Birmingham municipal election. During her campaign, she pledged to work with community leaders to identify and secure grants for revitalization, and to connect senior citizens and youth in mentor relationships.
