Avenue H is a business street seven blocks south of the railroad tracks in downtown Ensley. The eastern end of the street continues from Avenue G Ensley in Central Pratt. It continues through South Pratt and Ensley proper, stopping at 35th Street Ensley short of I-59.

Between 17th and 21st Street Ensley, Avenue H forms the southern edge of the Downtown Ensley Historic District.
