The Avondale Regional Branch Library is a branch of the Birmingham Public Library located at 509 40th Street South facing 5th Avenue South in Avondale Park. The library was independently established by the Town of Avondale in 1908 and constructed with funds provided by the Carnegie Foundation. It became part of the Birmingham system in 1913 following the Greater Birmingham annexation which took effect in 1910.

In 1961 a new building was constructed at the corner of the park. It has been expanded and renovated several times since, most recently in 2006. That renovation, by Charles Williams & Associations included a new entrance and accessibility upgrades.
