Bamboo on 2nd is a planned Asian restaurant at 2212 2nd Avenue North in downtown Birmingham's Loft District.
The restaurant was created by Sam Fallow and Bernie Smith, who previously operated Azalea and Tavern on the Summit. The kitchen is headed by Abhi Sainju, former proprietor of Everest Sushi. The menu is set to include sushi, noodle bowls, small plates, yakitori and Asian-inspired sandwiches. The restaurant will offer lunch and dinner seven days a week.
The space was under renovation for Haler Magee's planned Grace Revival restaurant when Fallow and Smith took over the lease. The owners hired Appleseed Workshop to redesign the space and complete the build-out.
