BancorpSouth Bank is a Tupelo, MS-based bank which has branches in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee and Georgia. BancorpSouth entered the Birmingham market in 1998 with its purchase of Highland Bank. Locally, the bank operates branches at the Collonade, on Highland Avenue in Southside Birmingham, Roebuck, Hoover, Leeds and Moody. It currently has a branch in Trussville under construction.
