BancorpSouth Bank is a Tupelo, MS-based bank which has branches in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee and Georgia. BancorpSouth entered the Birmingham market in 1998 with its purchase of Birmingham-based Highland Bank. Locally, the bank operates branches at the Collonade, on Highland Avenue in Southside Birmingham, Roebuck, Hoover, Leeds and Moody. It currently has a branch in Trussville under construction.
