Birmingham Fire Station No. 1, located at 1808 7th Avenue North, is the headquarters of the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service. The present station was built in 1971. The roof of the building was originally a helipad, however, it is not currently in use.

The parking area in the rear alley is used for several support vehicles and reserve rescue units.
