The Rev. Clyde Samuel "Bud" Precise is the pastor of Pilgrim Congregational Church. He holds dual ministerial standing in the United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ, to which Pilgrim Church belongs. He became pastor of Pilgrim Church in 2003.
Precise, a native of Scottsboro, Ala., served most of his active ministry in the UMC's North Alabama Conference, congregations of which included Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood and Canterbury United Methodist Church in Mountain Brook. He also served a stint in the Peace Corps.
