Carol Robinson (born April 24, 1964 in Birmingham) is a senior reporter for the Alabama Media Group, covering public safety issues for Al.com and The Birmingham News.
Robinson graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in 1982 and completed a bachelor of arts in journalism and public relations as Auburn University in 1986. She began her career with the News on August 10 of that year, writing for the "Lifestyle" section and covering southeastern Alabama as a correspondent based in Auburn. When she asked for reassignment to Birmingham in 1996, she was given Chuck Dean's former Fairfield, Midfield, and Hueytown beat. Soon she found a talent for crime reporting and began covering public safety full time alongside John Archibald.
