Celida "Celi" Soto (born June 24 in New Jersey) is the Hunger Advocacy Coordinator for Alabama Arise, serves as the board president for SWEET Alabama, and is a co-founder of Alabama Rally Against Injustice.
Soto graduated from Rutgers University in 2002 with a dual degree in administration of justice and sociology. She has two sons and lives in the Bush Hills neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama. Throughout her career she has worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Social Security Administration, and as the educational liaison for the UAB Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC). In 2018 she served on the Social Justice Committee for the Woodfin Transition Team.
