Chris Holmes is a filmmaker and executive producer of documentaries for Alabama Public Television.

Holmes graduated from Florida State University and is a member of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences. He worked as a film crew freelancer, specializing in lighting design and produced his own films through his Southern Fried Films. He was the official documentarian for the inaugural Sidewalk Moving Pictures Festival and has done work for David Lee, Bare Hands Gallery, the McWane Science Center, Sloss Metal Arts and the National Wildlife Refuge System. He was tapped to head APT's Birmingham production and documentary department in 2008.

Holmes is married to artist Heather Spencer and has one son.
