Copeland & Stone was a bookseller and stationer located at 2014 2nd Avenue North. The business, which specialized in school books, blank books, fine stationery and printer's stock. It was founded in 1886 by R. I. Stone and William Copeland.

Copeland, a Methodist minister's son from Morgan County, spent six years working for John B. Roden & Co. before opening his own rival shop.
