Dean and Company
Dean and Company is a television show produced in Birmingham by the Dougherty and Gagliano families.
The show, which airs weekly on Brighthouse Cable's public access channel, was started in the late 1970s as a video ministry by Dana Dean Lesley Dougherty and her mother, Daisy Dean Lesley. Along with Dana's daughter Lesley Dean Dougherty Gagliano, who goes by the nickname of "Deanie" on the show, the three are the mainstays of the show, which features skits and vignettes. In subsequent years, Deanie's husband Charles Gagliano and their children have been featured on the show.
Dean and Company produce a yearly Christmas special. The 2009 special was filmed at local locations such as Cahaba Grand Conference Center and Bottletree. Previous specials have featured Riverchase Galleria and other local landmarks.
