Eclipse Coffee and Books was a coffee shop, bookstore and bar located in an expanded historic house at 1032 Main Street in Montevallo. Eclipse, opened in 2001 by Michael and Cheryl Patton with business partner Mary Maxwell, served breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday thru Saturday, and featured a wrap-around front porch.

In May 2008, The Birmingham News named Eclipse Coffee and Books one of its "10 best places for outdoor dining". In 2010, the readers of the News gave Eclipse the "Readers' Choice Award" for the best milkshake. Eclipse served 15 varieties of hand-made milkshakes.

The business closed in July 2017 after the owners accepted a sizable offer from a real estate company for the property. They hoped to be able to relocate the historic house part of the business to a different site.
