The Econo Lodge Homewood - Birmingham formerly the Comfort Inn Oxmoor Hotel was a motel located at 195 Oxmoor Road just off Green Springs Highway and I-65 in Homewood. The 2-story, U-shaped building surrounded a courtyard with a swimming pool.

In May 2006 recently-paroled felon Dedrick Griham brought abducted attorney Sandi Gregory to room 226 of the motel. He bound and raped her before police arrived.
