It runs from approximately Pearson Avenue SW and 24th St SW/South Park Road to the railroad tracks at 31st St. SW and Jefferson Avenue. Notable landmarks include the Package Store, M&N Grocery (referred to as Mike's) and the Powderly Laundrette, as well as Powderly Shell at the site of the old Piggly Wiggly. At the intersection of 31st and Jefferson, most consider this part of Powderly, while according to the City of Birmingham's guidelines, it is part of the Gremaina Park Neighborhood Asociation. Most of this area has the phone exchanges of 925, 923, (both shared with midfield)and 929. Most of the area is under the 35211 zip code, but a small portion around 31st and Jefferson is under 35221, which is served through the Midfield Post Office.
