Greg's Hot Dogs is a food cart which sets up during lunch on weekdays at the southeast corner of 5th Avenue and 20th Street North outside the vacant Regions Plaza building. It was opened on April 24, 2012 by owner Greg Nuckolls. Initially Nuckolls began setting up outside the Empire Building on 20th Street near 1st Avenue North but by the summer of 2012 had moved to 5th Avenue, which has significantly more foot traffic.
Currently, Greg's operates two carts, usually located downtown and at 19th Street South and University Boulevard near the UAB campus.
