James Gregory Shaw (born 1957 in Birmingham) is the Chief Judge of the Alabama Court of the Judiciary.

Shaw was born to James Hubert and raised in Birmingham, graduating from Banks High School. Shaw graduated from Auburn University in 1979, where he met his wife Samantha. Shaw graduated from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law.

Judge Shaw was elected to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals in 2000 and was re-elected in 2006. On March 16, 2007, Shaw was appointed Chief Judge of the Alabama Court of the Judiciary.
