Holiday Beach was a 120-acre park and swimming area developed by Joseph Bateh and Richard Hail Brown in he early 1950s near Woodstock in Bibb County. The Bateh family took over sole ownership soon after, with the next generation, Johnny Bateh and his wife Jeanette running it until his death in the early 1990s. The site is currently the home of the Holiday Raceway.
