Judge Hugh A. Locke (1885-1971) was Judge of the Chancery Court, President of the Birmingham Bar Association, Trustee of Birmingham-Southern College, and founder of the Birmingham School of Law.
In 1930, Locke ran as an independent candidate for Governor of Alabama. His son Hugh A. Locke, Jr practices law in Birmingham.
