Victor Hugo Marx Sr (born December 23, 1875 in Birmingham; died April 13, 1958 in Birmingham) was the founder of Hugo Marx & Co. investment bankers.

Marx was the son of Samuel Marx and the former Henrietta Neumann. His siblings included Otto Marx and Bertha Adler.

Hugo and his wife, the former Elsie Bensinger had three children, Hugo Jr, Nathan and Billy.

Marx died in 1958 and is buried at Elmwood Cemetery.
