Jabo Waggoner Jr

J. T. "Jabo" Waggoner (born January 8, 1937 in Birmingham) is a Republican member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 16th District since 1990. He has been the Minority Leader since 2002. Previously he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 1966 through 1983.

Waggoner is president of Birmingham Business Consultants, LLC. He has his bachelors degree from Birmingham-Southern College and his juris doctorate degree from Birmingham School of Law. He serves on the boards for United Cerebral Palsy, Metropolitan Development Board, Better Business Bureau, Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau, Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, and Pinnacle Bank. He served as head coach of the Birmingham Touchdown Club and was president of the Birmingham Tip-Off Club.

He currently resides with his wife Marilyn in Vestavia Hills.
