Jamie Langley was Miss Alabama 2007 and Miss Painted Rock. She won the pageant on her sixth attempt on June 9, 2007 over first runner-up Colene Burns and second runner-up Elizabeth Cochran of Chelsea. The pageant was held at the Wright Auditorium at Samford University.

For her talent, Langley sang "Listen", from the film Dream Girls. With the win, she earned a $10,000 scholarship and entry into the Miss America pageant in January 2008.

Langley is the daughter of Jeff and Mailey Langley of Wadley. She is currently a senior communications major at Jacksonville State University, where she also studies singing. She and her family perform gospel music as "The Langleys". She plans to promote the American Heart Association with her "Cardiac Care: From the Heart" platform inspired by her father's 1988 heart attack. She has helped to develop exercise programs for senior citizens at assisted living homes and also worked on developing a Girl Scout patch promoting cardio care and released a CD of songs about the heart to benefit the AHA.
