Java and Jams, April 2009

Java and Jams was a coffee bar and music venue located at 321 20th Street North in downtown Birmingham. The business, which was owned by John and Alisa Maske, opened during the 2007 City Stages weekend. Java and Jams closed in early 2010.

The bar featured Fair Trade coffee from Higher Ground Roasters as well as wine and beer and served light meals. On Thursday through Saturday evenings the bar hosted live music. Work by local artist Warren Mullins was displayed on the walls.
