John Wesley Stewart III (born 1952 in Southern Delaware) is the 15th president of the University of Montevallo, inaugurated on October 14, 2010.

Stewart earned his bachelor's degree in history from Wake Forest University and a master's in English from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. He worked for his family's pipeline contracting business before moving to Hattiesburg, Mississippi so that his son could attend a special school for the hearing impaired.
