However, they were best know as a mainstay on the college, wedding, and party circuit, performing covers of classic soul, funk, beach, and R&B hits.

Jous (pronounced "joe-us") is a four-piece soul and R&B band founded in Tuscaloosa in 1986. Members included brothers Darryl "D. B." Brown and James "J. B." Brown on bass and keyboards, Sheila R. on vocals and percussion, Serious O on drums, and Doug Ford on guitar.
