UAB Blazers sports mascots=
- Pink Dragon (1978): A furry pink dragon worked the sidelines during the first UAB Blazers basketball season.
- Beauregard T. Rooster (1979-1992): Similar to the San Diego Chicken
- Blaze the Viking (1993): A short-lived re-imagining of a Blazer.
- Blaze (1996-present): A green dragon.
