MAX Transit Route 20 is a bus route serviced by the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority from Birmingham Central Station to the Woodlawn Community Transit Center via Kingston.

Prior to May 2024, Route 20 took riders to Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport with one stop on 50th Street North near Richard Arrington Jr Boulevard North, behind the Holiday Inn Birmingham-Airport. Busses ran from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM weekdays and from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM weekends, with outbound service leaving hourly on the half-hour, and return busses leaving the airport on the hour. From 2020 to 2023, that route was used by an average of between six and nine riders per day.

Birmingham Transit Company

In 1940, there was no Route 20. In 1947 Route 20 began at 1st Avenue North and 48th Street and proceeded north on 50th Street, along the western edge of the Municipal Airport to East Lake Boulevard. The route turned back north along Graston Avenue and then west toward Jackson Boulevard in Tarrant along Wharton Avenue, connecting to Route 22.
