Mark Martin (born in Anniston) is the prosecuting attorney for Black Warrior Riverkeeper.

Martin began practicing law in 1981 after graduating from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. Martin has worked on a diverse array of legal issues, ranging from criminal defense to protecting Alabama's rivers and creeks. Martin has been with Black Warrior Riverkeeper since its inception in 2002. Martin is also an avid kayaker of the the Locust and Mulberry Forks of the Black Warrior River.

Martin was named “Legal Hero” by the Sierra Club in 2006 for his innovative work in using citizen-gathered water monitoring data to curtail pollution from a large hog farm in North Alabama. These techniques have also helped Black Warrior Riverkeeper expose other polluters in the river's watershed.
