Matt Coulter is a sports announcer and radio host. He is currently the voice of the Birmingham Steeldogs and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. He is the public-address announcer for the Talladega Superspeedway, and has hosted the lunch-hour show "Middays with Matt" since 1993 on WJOX AM-690. He also hosts "Talkin' Hoops with Wimp Sanderson and Sonny Smith on the College Sports South television network.

Previously, Coulter was a sports reporter for WVTM. He has also provided play-by-play for the Birmingham Fire and Birmingham Barracudas and color commentary for UAB Blazers basketball and football for 8 years. He began his tenure with the Steeldogs in 2005.

He was passed over as play-by-play announcer at UAB after the retirement of long-time announcer Gary Sanders. Cory Provus took over that job. Coulter started broadcasting for Jacksonville State University in 2006. At WJOX Coulter was dropped in 2005 from the "Morning Express" which he co-hosted with Jay Barker until 2005.

Coulter was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas but grew up in Huntsville, Alabama.
