Middle Oak Church is a small church located in the Sayre community in northwest Jefferson County. The pastor is Del Reid. New members are baptised nearby in the Locust Fork of the Warrior River.

The church started by holding meetings at members' homes or under an oak tree. In 1999 the members worked together to pour a concrete slab over which they erected a tent for meetings. On September 15, 2002 a new building, constructed with assistance from several area churches and businesses, was dedicated. It was designed and built under the leadership of Myrick Gurosky & Associates church development company.

The building serves as a community center and shelter as well as a church. Food distribution, tutoring, literacy programs, and community activities are all held at the church building.
