Mountain Brook High School, founded in 1967, is a three-year public high school in the Birmingham suburb of Mountain Brook. The campus is located at 3650 Bethune Drive It is the lone high school in the Mountain Brook School System.

Enrollment in grades 10-12 for the 2004-2005 school year was 961 students. The principal is Dicky Barlow.

School colors are green and gold. The athletic teams are called the "Spartans". The school allowed fraternities and sororities until early in the 21st century.

Accomplishments

  • United States Department of Education "Blue Ribbon School"; 1983-84, 1992-93.
  • United States Department of Education Secondary Schools Recognition Program.
  • Selected by Redbook magazine as one of 155 schools honored for "overall excellence"
