Mountain Brook High School, founded in 1966, is a three-year public high school, and the lone high school in the Mountain Brook School System. The school's 25-acre campus is located at 3650 Bethune Drive near I-459. The principal is Vic Wilson.

Mountain Brook High graduated its first class in 1968. Enrollment in grades 10-12 for the 2007-2008 school year was 1,004 students.

School colors are green and gold. The athletic teams are called the "Spartans". A "Spartan Creed", connecting the school's ideals with those of ancient Sparta, was adopted by the school's faculty and student government in 2009.   • Mountain Brook has won more Alabama state athletic championships (102) than any other school in the state. Coach Robert Higginbotham led the Spartans to the 1975 state football championship.
