C. Nelson Grice (born c. 1969) is a ceramicist who teaches art at Hoover High School.
Grice graduated from Berry High School in 1987 and earned his bachelor of fine arts at the University of Montevallo. He completed a masters in education at Montevallo in 1996 and began teaching at Hoover the same year. He has shown his work at Artists Incorporated in Vestavia Hills and at Bare Hands Gallery in Birmingham.
Grice's 2006 piece, a portrait bust of former Alabama Power president William Lay atop a fanciful incarnation of power, won "Best in Show" at the company's centennial art exhibit and now sits on the desk of president Charles McCrary. Another complex piece entitled "For His Pleasure" was highlighted in the January 2007 issue of Ceramics Monthly. He was awarded "Best in Show" at the 2014 Magic City Art Connection.
Grice is married and has three children.
