Oak Mountain High School, located at 5476 Caldwell Mill Road in Indian Springs Village, is a high school in the Shelby County School System. It was completed in 1999, graduating its first class in 2000. The school, designed for 1,500 students with the capability of expanding for 2,000, currently serves approximately 1,650 students. The auditorium seats 1,000, and the competition gymnasium seats 2,000. A stadium nearby on Highway 119 seats 5,000 for football and track & field. The athletic teams are known as the "Oak Mountain Eagles". The marching band is the "Spirit of Cahaba", and the school colors are red, white and blue.
