Odessa Rush Ashley (born c. 1934) is a retired Birmingham City Schools teacher and two-term member of the Birmingham Board of Education representing District 7. She is running for a third term in the 2009 election.

Ashley has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and math and a master's in elementary education and education administration from Alabama State University. She spent 26 years as a teacher and 11 as a program specialist in Birmingham schools. Since retiring she has been active in alumni, retiree and neighborhood organizations. She was first elected to the Board of Education in 2001.
