OmegaCon is a science fiction and fantasy convention planned for March 14-16, 2008 at the Sheraton Birmingham. Shaun Knopf is the convention president
The program features eight simultaneous program tracks, including Celtic, Literary, Star Wars, Gaming, Paranormla, Art, Hard Science, and Music. The Celtic track will overlap with Birmingham's St Patrick's Day celebrations.

Confirmed celebrity guests include George Takei, Kevin Sorbo, Richard Hatch, Ray Park, Yaphet Kotto, Suzi Lorraine, Rena Owen, Veronica Cartwright, Patrick Burns, The Ghost Hunters, Bill "Splat" Johnson, and Julie Caitlin Brown.
