Orville Ifill (born August 27, 1951) is a former administrative assistant in the Jefferson County Department of Land Planning and Development Services and a former public information officer for the Jefferson County Commission.
Ifill has a bachelor's degree from Howard University. He ran unsuccessfully for the Birmingham City Council in 1985. As the County Commission's public information officer, Ifill lobbied on behalf of the county to the state legislature. In 2005 he left the county to serve as a liaison for the Storm Water Management Authority.
As a candidate in the 2008 special election to fill the Jefferson County Commission District 1 seat vacated by former County Commissioner Larry Langford, Ifill pledged to work toward accountability and openness in county business, to find ways to reduce debt without reducing needed services, and to encourage economic development with a focus on small and existing businesses.
In 2010 Ifill became one of 14 candidates to qualify in another special election to fill the Commission seat left vacant when William Bell became Mayor of Birmingham.
Ifill retired from the county in 2017.
