PhillipsFest was a benefit concert held at the Alabama Theatre on March 10, 2005. Local singer, songwriter and music minister Marc Phillips was diagnosed with throat cancer. In order to help pay for his medical expenses, morning radio-show hosts Rick and Bubba organized the concert. Several bands played, and the event saw the reunion of former major-label bands Brother Cane, Telluride and the Locust Fork Band. Along with Rick and Bubba's band Mr Lucky, the concert raised around $50,000.
