A new $49 million building and athletic complex for Pleasant Grove High School was completed in [[2010]], designed by [[Lathan Associates Architects]]. After the [[McCrory Building Company]] was found to have defaulted on the construction contract, [[Gary C. Wyatt Inc.]] was tapped to complete the project.
The racial make-up of Pleasant Grove High School's student body has changed dramatically since [[1995]] when only 47 black students attended. In [[2005]] there were 507 black students, and in [[2018]] the school enrolled 1,184 black students and only 175 white students.
