On November 29, 2006, Citadel Communication pulled the plug on the X and switched [[FM 100.5]] to [[WJOX]]'s sports talk format. The show returned to the air in Birmingham, in its present four-hour format, on Sunday, December 24, 2006 on [[WYSF-FM|WYSF]] [[FM 94.5]]. Nine other radio stations across the country syndicate a one-hour version of Reg's Coffee House, which Register plans to continue.
