The Rehobeth Baptist Church of Lawley is a Southern Baptist church founded in 1819 in the community of Lawley in Bibb County. The pastor is Duane Schliep.
Until the church was destroyed by arson on February 3, 2006, the congregation met in a wood-frame building constructed in 1912. Rehobeth and eight other churches in Bibb, Pickens, Greene and Sumter Counties were damaged by a string of fires set by teenagers Matthew Cloyd, Russell DeBusk and Ben Moseley.
A new $540,000 church building is under construction, funded by donations in addition to insurance coverage. The new 50 by 65-foot T-shaped sanctuary will be adjoined by an office and classrooms and will have a full basement. Lovelady Construction of Slema is doing the work.
